Keep Those Teeth Healthy!

Schedule your girl's routine dentist check-up every 6 months.

Help your girl build a habit of eating a healthy balanced diet, rich in calcium which is so important for growing strong teeth and bones. Limit her snacks between meals and avoid sugary snacks.

If your girl plays sports, look into mouth guards to protect those beautiful new permanent teeth from injury with a soft fitted mouth guard.

The Magic of Brushing!

Let your girl's toothbrush air dry to minimize bacteria growth.

Have your girl brush after dinner or chew sugarless gum. Saliva will help cleanse away the decay-causing acids of sugary foods left iin her mouth.

Try serving sweets as dessert after a meal where sugar can have the least impact on your teeth.

How Many Teeth?

Your girl will have a total of 32 teeth as an adult, but by the age of 8 or so, she'll have about 28 of them! She'll grow her wisdom teeth after the age of 16. If a permanent tooth is knocked out, don't clean it, but put it in milk and call your dentist immediately!

Girls will typically be able to floss well on their own by the age of 7.

Your girl will lose 20 baby teeth. Celebrate each one with a Magic Letter showing the Virtue that lost tooth brings! click here>>
